Best driver in the seven seas — 01/09/24

best driver in the seven seas

no, best driver in silicon valley

you must be joking

you might not even believe

a girl of seventeen

hasn't even started driving

what happens to be a lot better than biking

what at most high schools is considered basic surviving

is to be driving

i can't say i haven't really found the time

because that would be a big fat lie

the reason i haven't been getting "on the grind"

the reason why thinking about driving is futile

is because my parents won't let me drive for awhile

but other than driving

there are other ways to be thriving

surviving

achieving my goals

that's enough to make me feel whole

Side Note: I love my parents very much and in no way mean to blame or complain about them in this piece (the former is always true and the latter is at least true at the current point in time :P)

more pithy sayings — 12/12/23

1) one need not worry about their outer appearance, only their inner being

2) your countenance doesn't define you, only your character

pithy sayings — 11/22/23

1) environment doesn't foster/breed success; it's the mindset

2) environment doesn't shape a person; it's the character

3) environment doesn't change a person; it's the mindset

4) hard times don't break the person; they make the person

5) being still means giving up, unless it's for creative purposes

6) healthy introspection brings improvement, but constant introspection breeds insecurity

7) do too much of something that's meant to be good for you, then it's effects become the opposite

Side Note: I recognize, looking back, that some of these generalizations are still too vague and may not always hold true. I would like to start a new series of pithy sayings that resonate with my current beliefs in the near future.

drip drop

my tears fall as my racket goes flip flop

the ball flew

but not how it was supposed to

angle wrong

point gone

direction lost
